Ethics charter
Six commitments that apply to every sale we arrange, whoever the buyer and whatever the price.
ArticleI
Article I: Genuine sales only
We arrange sales between owners who want to sell and buyers who want to buy. We act only for the rightful owner of a journal, and no one is pressed into a sale.
ArticleII
Article II: No sale to anyone who would abuse a journal
We will not transfer a journal to anyone who plans to sell publication slots or to manipulate peer review. Buyers are vetted for exactly this, and if such a plan comes to light at any stage, the sale does not go ahead through us.
ArticleIII
Article III: Editorial independence
What a journal publishes is decided by its editors and reviewers, not by its owner. We ask every buyer to keep it that way, and we help new owners to do so after the transfer.
ArticleIV
Article IV: Transparency after completion
When a transfer is complete it is declared where it matters: to every index the journal is in, to the ISSN centre, and to the journal’s readers, who see the new owner named on its website. No journal changes hands quietly.
ArticleV
Article V: Confidentiality of both parties
Until a sale is complete, the identities of the seller and the buyer are kept confidential. We do not name past clients, journals or buyers, on this site or anywhere else.
ArticleVI
Article VI: No fake metrics
We do not invent, inflate or trade in metrics. We quote no impact figures we cannot source, offer no citation schemes, and make no claim about a journal that its record does not support.
