Information, not an offer
These pages describe our services in general terms. Nothing on this site is an offer to buy or sell a journal, a valuation, or advice about any particular journal.
The valuation page
The first look on the valuation page shows what public registries record about a journal. It is indicative. It is not an appraisal and not a valuation by a registered valuer, nothing on it is certified, and it may be incomplete or out of date because the registries are. Any range it shows is arithmetic on a figure you typed in and is not an offer. Use it as a starting point for a conversation, not as a price.
How work is agreed
An enquiry commits neither you nor us to anything. Work on a sale is agreed in writing: a non-disclosure agreement, a memorandum of understanding or term sheet, and a transfer agreement. Those documents, not this website, set the terms of any engagement.
What no one can promise
We cannot promise that a journal will sell, or sell at a particular price or by a particular date. Nor can we promise that any index will keep, change or restore its listing of a journal after a transfer: those decisions belong to each index.
Confidential material
This website does not accept documents, and the forms take none. Please do not paste confidential material into them. Once an NDA is in place, we send a secure upload link for anything that needs to be shared.
Standards and other bodies
We refer to NISO’s Transfer Code of Practice, to Crossref and to the ISSN system because journal transfers depend on them. Their rules are theirs and may change, and incitee is not part of, or endorsed by, any of them.
Using this site
Please do not misuse the forms or the valuation lookup, send automated submissions, or try to interfere with the site or its server.

The text of this site, the incitee name, wordmark and seal, and the design of these pages belong to incitee. The typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font License.
Liability
We take care that the information here is accurate, but it is general information. To the extent the law allows, incitee is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on it.
